"Once a day…. she'd give me two candy bars…. and… one was for me and one was for the… kid who lived across the way….. so i'd go down this long driveway of my grandparents house go across this dirt road go down another long dirt driveway and there was this kid who lived… with his mother… thats all… and… i say kid but he was maybe like 19 or 20…. but he had the brain of a three year old….. and he'd be on his tricycle… and he had a beard…. but he's on his tricycle….. and he kind of drooled…. and then i'd give him his candy bar…. and sit with him or stand there….. you know… we'd eat the candy bars…. and uh… then i'd go home…........it was just part of life"
